Author Visit: Louise Borden

Louise Borden, a lifelong traveler and student of history, is the author of thirty-one books including THE JOURNEY THAT SAVED CURIOUS GEORGE - The True Wartime Escape of Margret and H.A. Rey, illustrated by Allan Drummond and BASEBALL IS . . ., illustrated by Raúl Colón. Her newest book, SKI SOLDIER, a Junior Library Guild Selection, introduces readers to those who served in the 10th Mountain Division and fought in Italy during World War II. Also a Junior Library Guild selection, HIS NAME WAS RAOUL WALLENBERG won the Ohioana and Sydney Taylor book awards and was named a Notable book by the National Council of Teachers of English.


A former bookstore owner, Louise Borden has written fiction and picture books as well as nonfiction and has spoken at schools and libraries across the country.
Louise lives with her husband Peter in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Bordens have three grown children.
