We are thrilled to welcome back Margaret Peterson Haddix at the Upper Arlington Public Library for her latest middle reader novel, Mysteries of Trash and Treasure: The Secret Letters.
In this page-turning middle grade series, Colin and Nevaeh, whose parents own rival junk-removal businesses, uncover vintage letters that lead to interlocking mysteries from the 1970s and ‘80s. They learn about the women's liberation movement, Equal Rights Amendment, and other social issues from the time period—and the way echoes from that era affect Colin and Nevaeh.
MARGARET PETERSON HADDIX has written more than forty books for kids and teens. Her books have been honored with numerous state reader’s choice awards and the International Reading Association’s Children’s Book Award, and they’ve been translated into more than twenty languages.
